Kathryn Parsons MBE is the founder and co-CEO of Decoded. Established over a decade ago, Decoded is the go-to educator for Global 2000 companies seeking to adopt new capabilities and adapt to emerging technologies. Its academies, bootcamps, leadership training and apprenticeships comprise one of the most extensive suites of AI upskilling and reskilling programmes for enterprise. Today, Kathryn oversees Decoded’s work with leaders, having educated the boards and leadership teams of over 150 companies across the Fortune 500.
As part of Kathryn’s work, she undertakes independent research and roundtables to examine and discuss the impact of technology upon business, government and society. In 2024, her work explored the AI deployment strategies and readiness of over fifty large global organizations. In 2025, her work brought together global founders, investors and policymakers at 11 Downing Street to shape policy to unlock growth capital into the UK’s private markets and high-potential AI enterprises.
Kathryn is a guest contributor to The Sunday Times Business and The Financial Times, reflecting on global technology developments and the impact of artificial intelligence upon the economy, work and our lives. She also produced a mini-series for BBC Radio examining the technology superpowers of China and Russia.
Kathryn co-chairs GBx Global, a non-profit community of British founders, executives and investors in the Bay Area which in 2024 raised over $10 billion in investment. She served on the board of the Department for Business and has been a board advisor to Number Ten Downing Street, HM Treasury, the Mayor of London, and the Royal United Services Institute.
In 2014, Kathryn campaigned successfully for coding to be introduced to the UK national curriculum and was awarded an MBE for Services to Education by HM Queen Elizabeth II.
