Kathryn Parsons MBE is the founder and co-CEO of Decoded, a world-leading technology education company established over a decade ago with a mission to demystify the digital world. Today, Decoded is a go-to educator for Global 2000 companies seeking to adapt to emerging technologies and adopt new capabilities. Its academies, bootcamps, leadership training and apprenticeships comprise one of the most extensive suites of AI upskilling and reskilling programmes for enterprises.
She also co-chairs GBx Global, a non-profit community of British founders, executives, and investors in the Bay Area which in 2024 raised over $10 billion in investment for their enterprises and funds. In the UK, Kathryn served on the board of the Department for Business and has been a board advisor to Number Ten Downing Street, HM Treasury, the Mayor of London, and the Royal United Services Institute.
Kathryn is a guest contributor to The Sunday Times Business, The Financial Times, reflecting on global technology developments and the impact of artificial intelligence on the economy, work and society. She also produced a mini-series for BBC Radio examining the technology superpowers of China and Russia. As part of her work, she conducts interviews, research and roundtables with world leaders across technology, policy, and enterprise. In 2024, she explored the differing AI deployment strategies of the boards and executive leadership teams of large global organizations.
In 2014, Kathryn campaigned successfully for coding to be introduced to the UK national curriculum and was awarded an MBE for Services to Education by HM Queen Elizabeth II.
